Lungwort
The plant flowers early in spring, usually in early April, and is very temperature-dependent. It gets flowers that vary between white, pink and dark purple-blue. It thrives well in sunny moist places and grows to a maximum height of 30 cm.
Lungwort has been used as a medicine for the lungs. It is also sometimes called a ready-made package for lung problems. It soothes, tackles inflammation, clears excess mucus and strengthens tissues. Moreover, the herb helps lower fever. The herb is administered via a tea or tincture.
A tincture involves turning the plant into an alcoholic solution. In practice, this works slightly better than tea. Thus, it is then sufficient to take a few drops than to put a kettle on for tea every time.
